General Patton here and on behalf of the U.S 3rd Army, I welcome you to the Louisville ~ Fort Knox Armor Preservation Modeling Society (AMPS) "Patton's Best" chapter. I am delighted to have such an honor bestowed as to have a organization named after me. Some of you may be familiar with a museum named on my behalf, the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor. This fine museum is considered by many as hallowed ground since it depicts the birth of armor. I was glad to have been a vital part of the warfighting instrument of warfare which included armor.

Throughout this website, I am going to give you a little philosophy about me, my tactics and the hobby in general. At times, I may sound rough but I believe in giving it straight. Throughout history, I have been known to be one son-of-a-bitch. Well, being tough is how you win battles.  As you maneuver through this web site, you can return to this page by clicking on the 3rd Army map symbol to the left from any page.

"Patton's Best" is a new chapter under the AMPS umbrella promoting armor building. The hobby of armor building has advanced so much over the past decades. The hobby is in an advanced state; we have the finest kits and accessories in the world. We are advancing on the hobby and taking no prisoners. I don't want to get any messages saying we are holding our position. We're not holding onto anything - let the airplane guys do that! We are advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding onto anything except the hobby. We're going to hold onto it by the nose and we're going to kick it in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of it all the time and we're going to go through it like crap through a goose!

Some of you may say that you'll falter in battle - don't worry, you won't.   When you put your hand in a pile of superglue that a moment before was your best friends kit, you'll know what to do. I will be proud to lead you wonderful builders anytime, anywhere.

That is all!

gsp.jpg (4173 bytes) The Carthaginians defending the city were attacked by three Roman legions. The Carthaginians were proud and brave but they couldn't hold. They were massacred. Arab women stripped them of their tunics and their swords and lances. The soldiers lay naked in the sun. Two thousand years ago. I was here.
